It never works. But it’s comedy gold.

Here’s a good example from Defenders #111, wherein Patsy Walker (the Hellcat) has just reunited with her estranged father (after a weird thing where she was led to believe Satan was her real father):

“The Nestles”!!! Hahaha, I love it.

Nice Cliff Huxtable sweater and pipe, too.
